Team Grimm Announces Endorsement of Democratic Assemblyman Dov Hikind

October 19, 2010

Assemblyman Dov Hikind

We just received word that local Democratic Assemblyman Dov Hikind will in fact be endorsing 13th Congressional candidate Michael Grimm for Congress.

In a release put out just minutes ago, Team Grimm confirmed something that David Freedlander had suggested would happen.

The Grimm campaign says:

Assembly Member Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) will cross party lines to endorse Michael Grimm (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn) for Congress at a press conference on Wednesday.

Hikind, famous for his impassioned leadership in the Jewish community and his record of strong service in Albany, will commend Grimm for his principled commitment to their common goals, including the unequivocal support of Israel.

We will have further coverage and commentary later on.

Once again, a politician more concerned with the elfare of Israel than with the welfare of the United States.

Unequivocal support of Israel? McMahon is among AIPAC’s biggest supporters. What is Dov smoking? I smell a rat. Dov should endorse Brian Doherty while he’s at it.

McMahon and Hikind had a falling out in the 44th district city council special election when they each endorsed different people. McMahon’s candidate, Greenfield won.

To say this doesn’t have to do with the 44th city council race would be to tell a lie.

One wonders if Jonathan Judge was a conduit for this endorsement. Didn’t he endorse both Grimm and Joe Lazar in the 44th City Council election?

    I think that speaks volumes.

Something to be proud of? Only kidding, it will certainly help with some on the fence voters, some Jewish voters maybe, and other skeptical democrats. Btw, did you see the politico post about whether McMahon would vote for Pelosi for Speaker…

Wow! Talk about a seismic shift! This is EARTH SHATTERING news!
This could change the course of the entire campaign!!
I mean, there must be 7 or 8 Jews in the 13th Congressional District.
    Look out!

Did Brian Doherty even see the bus coming? Sort of reminds you of Marty G’s happy departure from the NYPD — what’s with these cop candidates not seeing the buses coming? Maybe, this is the first of many “sacrifices” by the Grimm campaign, hopefully Cipriano is next.

Grimm pounded salt up the bum of the Brooklyn GOP, while they were pounding pavement — as usual with their heads – HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
That’s why their cute little bummies were pointed skyward, perfect for salt pounding – HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

btw, Just as the NFL tries to enforce rules to limit concussions, Eaton, Gallo, Berardelli, Maresca and Clorinda will probably tell everybody it’s the therapeutic thing to do as long as it’s done “pounding pavement”.

All the numbskulls wasted their time trying to “pound pavement”; Jonathan out-maneuvered them all in the major coup de main in the 2010 campaign in Brooklyn (Russell, that’s a military term that means a sudden thrust straight at what’s most important, which is obviously not “pounding pavement”. Get it, Cue Ball?)

    The Legend of Jonathan Judge
[to the tune of Wyatt Earp]

I’ll tell you a story a real true life story
About the real Republican they fear.
The Kings GOP was witless and hopeless,
    but Jonathan’s flawless
and his is the story you’ll hear.

    Jonathan Judge, Jonathan Judge
    Brave courageous and bold.
Long live his fame and long live his glory
and long may his story be told.

    He’ll clean up the party
    The once Grand Old Party
    His cause will eventually prevail.
    Though Eaton’d deny it
    Kings YRs won’t buy it
An’ JJ’ll make Craig hit the trail.

    Jonathan Judge, Jonathan Judge
    Brave courageous and bold.
Long live his fame, longer still his glory
And forever his story be told.

The fight between Hikind and recently elected and Conservative Party endorsed David Greenfield is still on.

NYC Councilman David Greenfield will endorse Rep. Mike McMahon, who is trying to support his support among Jewish voters.

With an incumbent Democrat seeking re-election in a district that voted Republican in the last two presidential elections, the race in District 13 isn’t considered a sure-win for McMahon. The New York Times’ Five Thirty Eight forecasts an 81 percent chance of a Democratic victory, while Real Clear Politics lists the race as one of 44 toss-up elections for the House

A little birdie told me that Judge was seen within feet of Dov Hikind at a recent protest in Midwood. Perhaps they had occasion to discuss the endorsement?

Hey isn’t Jonathan going to delete these comments, like on that Brooklyn college forum he did years ago?

While he’s at he can go buy Lucretia a lotto ticket, and send McCall a one way ticket to Bellevue.

Looks like the hate bloggers are back to commenting on Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn. I guess they got tired of their pretend time as a faux “GOP news blog” on the Jig. Ha!!! Not that anyone ever took them seriously after that ridiculous douchebag poll of theirs.

Isn’t it time you grubs crawled back under the rock you all call home?

When did somebody named “McCall” last post a comment either here or any place else?

Now, “Spartacus” or “Wag the Dog” or “Walter Winchell” or “The Scarlet Pimpernel” or “Down Hill Racer” or “Have Gun Will Travel, Wire Paladin” or “M.M. Boarder Watcher” or “Peter Parrot Gun” or “Raymond Hart Massey (as Gail Wynand)” or “Clive Barnes” or “Colonel De Verite d’Eton” or “Sergeant Archibald Cutter” or “William Shakespeare” or “Albany Powers” those are some names that I recall having posted things at ASIB, but I really don’t recall “McCall”.

When did these “McCall” people post and what did “they” post?(Don’t you think that there really have to be more that one person that the folks at TJIUA obviously seem to be talking about so much?)

They do know that there’s a congressional seat at stake, don’t they?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Grimm was a Jar-head in the sandbox war; and yeah, he was “Archie Zoot-suit” or some other silly name in some FBI undercover thing; and of course, he’s an accountant and a lawyer, that’s all good stuff; oh yeah, how could I forget he’s a former restauranteur and bio-fuels guru– great, just great…. none of that beats an incumbent like McMahon.

    WHERE’s the DIRT?????

Not P-P-Palosi, not Obama-Obamarama…..real good dirty, dirt.

Not Debi Rose and the WFP make up with McMaon, although that should have been played up more by now. Something more like “McMahon and Debi Rose caught knockin’ boots at some hot bed motel” Yeah, that would be the ticket — something really down and dirty.

Now, has there been any progress on the “Parade Queen — Colleen” bit?
Don’t tell me she’s passed on without a trace. Due a skip trace or some other kind of private eye work. If you have to, look for a magic lamp on South Beach and rub it — maybe, a jin will pop out and give you three wishes — just like in the TV show “I Dream of Genie”, that’s not it, but it’s close enough, I guess.

Don’t lob softballs on this one, pretend like you’re on Chris Matthews and you’re playing Hardball.

Don’t give anybody a base on balls at this stage of the game, especially on any Hibernian cannoli stuffing. It’s the big game, so even if a congressman and his sweetie were only on first base together, if he’s married, pick them both off (it wouldn’t be the first time that such a thing was reported about her, if she’s really the one). If she’s the one, she would have been about twenty-four in 2002, then our man in office would have been about twice her age, right?

Be careful, if you don’t play this right a lot congressmen might even pick up votes — I for one do want my congressman to be vigorous and virile, but only if they’re Democrats. I didn’t like how everything came out with Vito on that score.
