Thank You For Shrugging With Atlas for One Year!

August 4, 2010

It has been one year since we started this little online experiment. Since then, well over 100,000 readers have come to this blog to read and comment about local politics. We’ve had our ups and our downs and surely hits and misses. But we hope to continue to do what we’ve always tried to do: seek accountability, reform and success in our party here in Brooklyn and elsewhere.

Our thanks to all of you and my remarkable staff of writers for making this website what it is today.

We do this for you and you alone, and we will always be here for you.

OMG this is so wonderful. You guys are the best! Until you guys came along, thought-provoking Republican discourse was ignored and actively stamped out by the party leadership. Now, it’s a badge of honor. You guys will always have my respect, even if we don’t always agree.

I really appreciate everything you’ve done to bring about reform in our party.

    Fight on!

Reality knocks. These GOP bigwigs aren’t getting any younger. They are doing themselves a serious disservice by repeatedly shitting where they eat. Absolutely no thought is being given to the future. All they care about is right now. And we all know that self-preservation is no way to run a party.

    This is fantastic guys!

One year of reform and telling those thugs who the real Republicans are.

    This is excellent!

    Happy birthday, Atlas!

    Kiss kiss…

Congrats on this huge success guys! 100,000 readers is no easy achievement.

Happy Birthday, I guess. Do electronic entities have birthdays?

One year, how many is that in dog years?

100,000 Readers! Hard to believe! Probably computed as follows:

    Roy Antoun- 25,000x
    Jonathan Judge- 25,000x
    Susan Cleary- 25,000x
Russell Gallo- 25,000x (He has done at least 25,000 cut-and-paste rip-offs from those above for reposting on the Jigzatzpaze)

Sorry to disappoint you, but that statistic is for unique readers, not four individuals.

I’m not sure if electronic entities have birthdays, but we can all afford to pretend once in a while, I guess.

Thanks to everyone again for your support!

One thing both the reformers and the old farts/status quo GOPers can agree on (besides the fact that they hate Joseph Hayon): they all read Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn.

You guys are such unifiers 😉

    Happy Birthday!

I beg to differ. Commentators on both blogs have been attacking and defending Hayon. The bloggers on this blog never attacked Hayon. Hayon was attacked by the “hate” blog. This should be expected as hating Hayon would be part of their mission.

Conclusion: This blog does not hate Hayon

I can’t say the same. He has no tolerance for marriage equality.

    Atlas is sexy!

    Roy Antoun makes libertarianism sexy.

Lucretia Regina-Potter is taking sexy to a whole new level next to this wimpy poindexter (“one who looks and acts like a nerd but does not posses the super-natural intelligence of a nerd” says urban dictionary).

J.J. Judge makes Craig Eaton look like an unintelligent Rush Limbaugh dying of sloth.

James McCall makes Russell Gallo look like a gorilla picking its nose.

    In other words:

    The reformers = sexy.

The Status Quoers = lazy and/or slowly dying.

    That’s all she wrote.

  10. What Does the number 1,030,000 mean? permalink

When I hit the “Google Search” field after entering “Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn” tonight, a number larger than I had ever seen before came up as follows: “About 1,030,000 results (0.39 seconds)”.

    What exactly does that mean?

  12. Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn is the Samovar of "Free Radical" Republicanism permalink

The Republican establishment in Brooklyn has become the exclusive domain of a Golden-Eaton politburo, a tangled bunch of weak vessels every bit as sclerotic as the Soviet Russian bundle from which it had been copied, and evermore completely emulates with each passing day.

The active Republican insurgents float along like opportunistic free radicals ready to attach to this or that organic or metallic thread ready to clog or rupture the diseased arterials of the Kings County Republican Party at their weakest points.

For a year now Atlas Shrugs has been like mug after mug of strong black coffee being forced into the corpselike Brooklyn GOP and patch after patch of nicotine being pasted over every piece of bare flesh that presents itself to view. Overwrought the so-called “Chairman” and his entourage push more and more just trying force an increasingly phlegmatic serum through more constricted pathways to ever more distant extremities like Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Marine Park and Windsor Terrrace– the rest of Brooklyn long ago severed as completely necrotic appendages.

Just a few more servings from the big urn and the current Brooklyn GOP will have the “BIG ONE”.

Just keep that big ole kettle brewin’, yuh hee-uh!.
