“The Brooklyn GOP Revolution” Sentiments Akin To Nationwide GOP Revolution

April 18, 2010

Howdy, folks. It’s been a while.

If you haven’t seen it already, here is the video everyone’s been mentioning to us in emails and in comments:

Sarah, an Atlas reader and creator of these videos, is frustrated with our party’s doings in recent years.

As are we.

The “Brooklyn GOP Revolution” is the title given to a series of video clips highlighting the great displeasure so many Republicans are feeling here in Brooklyn and citywide about the issues in their own party.

In case you haven’t seen the other videos, the first is here and the second is here.

Regarding state level problems, the videos take issue with Steve Levy and New York State GOP Chairman Ed Cox.

At the local level–the primary focus of the videos–they take issue with Brooklyn GOP Chairman Craig “The Duke of Bay Ridge” Eaton and State Senator Marty “The Golden Prince” Golden. Stating that our Republican Party “Leaders” have failed us, the videos criticize these men–a Shore Road Duo, of sorts–and their doings.

Bloomberg is heavily criticized, as is the decision to support him.

The candidates that they have “undermined” are called out, as are “secret deals” between Marty Golden and a man who looks to be Peter Abbate, the Assemblyman of the 49th. In fact, it is common knowledge that Ms. Lucretia Regina-Potter has been undermined by The Golden Prince’s collusion with Assemblyman Abbate. We know Senator Golden is desperate to maintain the status quo in his own district…whatever the cost.

Jonathan Judge is mentioned, as well, and James McCall and Alex Zablocki.

Merlin of Malice Gerry O’Brien is called out for the allegations of assault and theft against him from last summer, for which we have continued to call for an investigation.

47th AD District Leader Russell Gallo is accused of running a GOP hate blog with the Chairman’s consent. That is unfortunately consistant with what our emailers have told us and available online evidence, and it is telling that Mr. Gallo, who has been so comfortable bloviating on this blog (even threatening the previously mentioned Regina-Potter and impersonating the previously mentioned Mr. Judge) and others, has not come out and denied these claims. To say Mr. Gallo writes for such a blog is true (merely Google “russell gallo atlas”). Does he have the chairman’s consent? Well, we haven’t heard any reports of him being reprimanded by the Chairman for any of his offensive actions. That says it all.

But, at the end of the day, people like Mr. Eaton and Mr. Gallo are, in my humble opinion, politically irrelevant and unable to assail the upcoming wave of GOP reform permeating the nation and Brooklyn.

At the end of the day, these Tea Party movements around the country are becoming very effective checks against GOP cannibals and Democratic colluders like those we see in the party. Likewise, in Brooklyn, the level of GOP/Democratic collusion has reached a fever pitch. We saw that, for example, in the 44th City Council District race.

Make no mistake: the “Brooklyn GOP Revolution” is not far afield from the Nationwide GOP Revolution.

People are frustrated with illegitimate GOP compromises–compromising principles, that is.

People are frustrated with inappropriate GOP/Democratic detentes.

People are frustrated with the failures the GOP have orchestrated.

The momentum is against the incumbents this year, and not just our representatives in the legislatures.

Locally, the fact is that the Brooklyn GOP leadership truly has failed us, the constituents of this borough. But the onus is on us to take them to task for their actions.

It’s on us to organize and to clean our own house.

If we have the will, the way will immediately present itself.

Although I often disagree with what I see posted here on Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn, it all makes for interesting reading; all of it, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I’m making this comment, because it seems that the Kings County Republican Organization, led by Chairman Craig Eaton, has made it an item of “Party Loyalty” not to comment or post on Atlas…. By not ever being seen actively posting here, I might lead some to think that I had gotten back “on the team”.

As far as I know, I’m not a memeber in high regard on that team. In fact, by recently becoming formally a member in good standing of the Fiorello La Guardia Regular Republican Organization in the 49th Assembly District, my relationship with the “Team” is probably more strained than ever. To my knowledge, I remain a member of the Armand Starace Club.

In my capacity as a member of both the Starace and the FLGRRO49AD clubs, I wish to propose that the 49th AD and 60th AD Republican Clubs nominate 60th AD State Committeeman Robert Howe to stand as KCRP Chairman Designate pending the resignation of the current “Chair” Craig Eaton. The only way that the splits in the Brooklyn GOP can be remedied is by Eaton stepping down IMMEDIATELY and Bob Howe putting together a new KCRP County Organization with Jonathan Judge and Arnaldo Ferraro on a COMPACT Executive Committee, with all Executive Members elected by the Brooklyn Republican constituencies that make up the KCRP.

It’s workable, LET’S MAKE IT WORK in 2010 for the good of the Republican Party in Brooklyn and New York State. Let’s let the “BROOKLYN GOP REVOLUTION” be something that goes out from the Kings GOP as part of the Republican wave across this Country. None of us wants this Brooklyn GOP Revolutionary movement to be something that tears the party up from within.

Just so you know, if the old guard wants a fight, they’ll have it.

In closing, contrary to what you might have seen on this and other blogs, or what you might have heard around the Rialto or on the High Street, I have not formally posted or commented on this blog before. Some think, in some cases they have even written or posted that, I might have done so with another, or others, under various pseudonyms. To those apparently so interested in me, I say, keep guessing; for the mental condition with which you are afflicted, it helps to keep the mind active.

  8. All Politics Is Local permalink
    April 21, 2010 8:03 pm

There are some nationwide trends and sentiments at work here in Brooklyn, There’s no denying that. But I know that somebody important once said, “All politics is local” and to that I’d like to add, “And what’s not local is personal.”

That’s how it is here for Republicans in the 49th AD. Sometimes getting all mixed up in the local and the personal part of politics causes people to not really see or hear the truth. Or maybe they just can’t handle the truth when it’s plain as the nose on their face.

Let me tell you some stuff and see if it all makes things a little clearer for you.

In 2009 a contract hit was done on the Republican organizations in the 49th AD and the 44th AD by KCRP Chairman Craig Eaton, assisted by Diane Rudiano, who’s a District Leader who lives so far away from most parts of Brooklyn that real Brooklyn people think that she lives in Queens, and who has other crap titles on the KCRP Executive Board and a Board of Elections head honcho job. Those sinister actors helped to destroy any hope for good or even decent results in the 2009 elections from Park Slope south and east through Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst and all the way to Bath Beach and a bit of Gravesend.

This posting will focus on the really perfidious act(s) by Eaton, et al, done in and to the Republican Party in the 49th AD. It’s being told now because a lot of head cheese frape and body-yeast fois gras has been put out by Eaton and company about the non-participation of the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization in the 2009 election effort on behalf of City Council candidate Bob Capano.

It is this writer’s opinion that the 49th AD experience will serve as a clear example of the main leitmotif running through the entire 2009 Republican campaign “on behalf of” Bob Capano, who was as talented and dutiful a candidate for City Council as any recently put forth by the Brooklyn Republican Party. In fact, Capano was far better than most Council candidates; and as you will see below, he and his campaign were ill-served by the Kings County Republican Party and its Chairman Craig Eaton.

On Primary Day 2009, Eaton and Rudiano, along with various 49th AD Democrats, including those named Bova & Sattie, arranged to have Lucretia Regina-Potter, who was listed on a roster of Board of Elections coordinators, transported in a Board of Elections car to several important polling places in the 49th AD. When Ms. Potter arrived at one of the polling places, the Democratic coordinator informed the police officer at the site that Ms. Potter was not a lawful Board of Elections coordinator and that she had unlawfully represented herself to be one. Quickly, other police cars arrived and a call was made to Ms. Rudiano at the Brooklyn Board of Elections. The police were told that Craig Eaton had removed Ms. Potter’s name from the list of designated Republican Coordinators and that she had no right to present herself as one. Although Ms. Potter was never arrested, the incident gave rise to rumors that she had been, which were spread by the Democratic operatives throughout the 49th AD polling places on primary day [and later on election day as well]. The method and timing of the events of Primary Day clearly indicated a “Coordinated Dirty Trick” by the KCRP Chairman, officials at the Board of Elections and the 49th AD Democratic leadership.*** The incidents that occurred on the 2009 Primary Day had a depressing effect on the remaining 49th AD Republican Board of Elections employees, which had a fallout into Election Day 2009.

Also between the primary and general election in 2009, the crowd that ran the Republican Party Convention, made that convention a brutal experience for all involved, especially members of the 49th AD delegation and anybody thought to be allied or sympathetic to them.

By the time of the 2009 general election, the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization was especially wary of further “Coordinated Dirty Trick(s)” by Eaton, Bova and the rest at the polling plces in the 49th AD. This inhibited the normal 49th AD Republican Club’s Election Day operation, including an 2009 election effort on behalf of City Council candidate Bob Capano.

Especially troublesome, in light of everything else that went on, was the fact that there was no attempt to integrate the Capano Campaign with the 49th AD Club’s General Election operations. In fact, there is every reason to believe that the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization was specifically segregated from any of the campaigns run by any of the KCRP insiders, specifically by 47th AD Leader Russell Gallo, the Capano Campaign’s designated “Campaign Manager”.

Anybody who believes that there was any attempt by the Kings County Republican Party to help Bob Capano win in the 49th AD just doesn’t know the facts. To blame the Fiorello LaGuardia Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD for the very poor showing by the Republican Party in the 49th AD in 2009 ignores the active efforts by Craig Eaton and others to undermine that organization’s ability to participate in the 2009 campaign, especially on Election Day. Those efforts were part and parcel of a deal between certain GOP and other insiders and the Democratic Club in the 49th AD to mutually benefit the re-election of campaigns Mayor Bloomberg and City Councilman Vincent Gentile.

Russell Gallo was instrumental in implementing a plan for Bob Capno not to campaign in the 49th AD with the Fiorello LaGuardia Regular Republic Organization, even though they had both manpower and the particular campaign savvy for that district. Actually, the campaign strategy seemed be to campaign mostly everywhere except in the heart of 49th AD. Probably unknown to the candidate was the unstated plan that, if Capano lost, Eaton and Gallo didn’t want him to have a good showing in the 49th. (Think about these two related but opposite questions: If Bob Capano did well in the 49th AD without the help of the Fiorello LaGaurdia Club, wouldn’t our club have seemed less important? What reason could there have been to back a plan causing Bob Capano to lose so badly there?)

Blaming the completely unsuccessful Capano campaign in the 49th AD on the Fiorello LaGuardia Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD is using the old tried and true criminal defense tactic of blaming it on one of the victims. Next, they’ll be blaming the candidate Bob Capano, himself— I’m sorry, they’ve done that already. Next, they’ll blame innocent bystanders like Jonathan Judge and the Young Republicans— Oops! They’ve done that too.

Those are the facts and the facts don’t lie.

The REAL DEAL TRAITORS in all this were Craig Eaton, Diane Rudiano and Russell Gallo. The direct beneficiaries in the past elction were Mayor Bloomberg and Councilman Vincent Gentile.

In the next election the beneficiaries will be Peter Abbate; and who else do you think_______?
Come on it’s as plain as the nose on your face; can’t you handle the truth.

***This “Coordinated Dirty Trick” was confirmed by a reliable informant from two separate 2009 conversations at pre-holiday gatherings involving the 49th AD Democratic District Leader Joe Bova, Republican Chairman Craig Eaton and one Marty Golden sycophantic operative who participated in the conversations like he was a part of it. These conversations happened in the presence of several others, especially including Mary Rose Sattie, the 49th AD Democratic Co-leader and also a key player in the Primary Day conspiracy.

Bob Capano is irrelevant. He would have been able to win, but he compromised his ability to win by teaming up with the failures that he did and starting his campaign as late as he did. Russell Gallo hasn’t succeeded at anything in life, so the notion that he would be successful as a campaign manager is laughable. Gerry O’Brien is a hack who only cares about himself, has allegedly stolen elections materials and assaulted Jonathan Judge. These are the people you hire? The blogger “Anonymous” who does so much good work on TJIUA is not up to date on my resume of associations and relations with various Democrats, in Brooklyn and elsewhere.

Although I have been a constant and open friend of Ralph Perfetto since I was a Democrat in the early ’80s, Ralph has not been my only friend in the Democratic Party. I won’t list all of my friends who are activists in/with the Dems here in Brooklyn, that list would be too long, and I would risk offending a few that I might overlook. Nonetheless, I must mention one such friend to correct a mis-impression that might have been created by the ubiquitous “Anon…” in his/her TJIUA posting of 4-23-10; not only did Ralph Perfetto endorse me in 2007, but his opponent for Democratic District Leader in the Brooklyn portion of the 60th AD did so, as well. Although, I have not known Kevin Peter Carroll as long as “Ralph”, I have known several members of Kevin Peter’s family for just as long as I’ve known Mr. Perfetto.

As often happens in politics, a contretemps has intruded into the political relationship between Kevin Peter Carroll and Ralph Perfetto, and the groups supporting each of them. Being good Democrats they are going to work it out…………………at the ballot box. As a friend to both men, I wouldn’t want to tip the scale one way or the other in their contest. Of supervening importance, as a Republican Party activist, since their contested leadership race is an obvious intra-party dispute inside the Democratic Party, it would be inappropriate for me to get involved.. (Note: a discussion of crossing-over to support candidates outside of one’s own party in general or special elections might be interesting, but at some other time.)

Borrowing a bit of contemporary political idiom let me say, “‘This can be a learning moment’ for KCRP Chairman Craig Eaton.” Direct involvement by and with any Democrats in the conduct of intra-party Republican affairs, or in Eaton’s case— to settle the score with this or that Republican— is philosophically and ethically improper. It also can lead to a disaster for all Republican candidates running in the 49th AD in 2010.

Since Craig Eaton has been caught red-handed undermining the Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD in direct collusion with the Board of Elections and the Democratic leadership in the 49th AD, let me expose some direct consequences of his various attacks on the Republican Party in the 49th AD.

In 2009 Eaton’s removal of Lucretia Potter from her 49th AD Republican position with the Board of Elections, and what followed with the police, etc., completely hamstrung the Republicans in the 49th from working for the whole Republican slate, including City Council candidate Bob Capano…. This resulted in a tremendous fall-off in the Republican vote for that seat from what it had been in prior elections, both inside the 49th AD and in the Council District as a whole.

We all know what is at stake for the Republican Party in 2010. The Republican Party Chairman’s removal of the Republican Inspector positions from members of the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization will cripple the legally established Board of Election process of bi-partisan administration at each election district, a process that has an important poll-watching component. What KCRP Chairman Eaton has done in 2010 is move the 49th AD into a category along with MOST OF BROOKLYN under his leadership— assembly districts with little or no Republican Party oversight at the ED level, even though that Republican oversight is lawfully provided-for under the Election Law.

In the past, Chairman Craig Eaton was generally guilty of this gross political malpractice, either through his nonfeasance or incompetence in seeing that Republican inspectors were appointed throughout Brooklyn. Now, with his direct action involving the Republican inspectors in the 49th AD, his political malpractice has risen to the level of malfeasance. If a full roster of Republican-nominated inspectors is not provided to the Board of Elections, the unfilled slots can be filled by Democrat Party operatives. That’s how it has been in much of Brooklyn for quite some time, including during all of Craig Eaton’s regime. Now, in 2010, by the removal of the Republican Inspectors of the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization from their Board of Election posts, one of the key Republican ADs is being rendered almost completely Democrat at the ED level like most of the rest of Brooklyn, in spite of the fact that the district still has an active regular Republican Party organization that still participates in/with the KCRP.

All Republicans need to call and “to call-out ‘their’ Chairman Craig Eaton”. TELL HIM— “Don’t corrupt yourself, the Republican Party and the political process by selling out to Democrats in your long-ago-planned “Regime Change” in the 49th AD. You and your henchmen should stop working night and day to destroy any functioning two party system in the 49th AD— it will directly lead to the same result in the surrounding ADs.”

Craig Eaton needs to be told that regardless of “his friends” in high Democratic circles, both in the 49th AD and downtown, he must act like the REPUBLICAN PARTY CHAIRMAN. Mr. Eaton needs to be told, “Think of the Republican Party, not everything else that you’ve got going on.”

If EATON CAN LEARN from this “Learning Moment: intra- and extra-party political disaster might well be avoided in 2010.

It was a beautiful day out this afternoon, so I ask my fan(s) over at TJIUA to please forgive my slight delay in responding to Ubiquitous Anonymous’ post from earlier 4-24-10 under “Jonathan Judge’s Large D….” (Jeeze, that looks really bad doesn’t it!)

Maybe somewhere in UA’s education they were taught about the debating technique and logically dishonest method of argument called “Setting up the Straw Man”, but whether that is true or not is irrelevant— what UA did in opening his/her/their 4-24-10 posting was a classic “Setting up the Straw Man”; then he/she/they did it again, again, again and again—- all tolled five (5) times. Don’t take my word for it, though. Look for yourself at the chunky stuff that follows which is from UA’s TJIUA comment of 4-24-10:

“So let me get this straight since we know James “Pathetic” McCall reads this blog.
[1]If the 49th were such good Republicans, and want to help everyone, than why didn’t they help the “Real Republican” Ken Rice who was the most conservative candidate in last month’s special election in the 44th Council District, who by the way was the Republican candidate that did make the ballot.
[2]If the 49th were such good Republicans than why on election day were both Lucretia and Jonathan as “Republicans” were working for “Democrat” Joe Lazar?
[3]If the 49th were such good Republicans than even going back to the days before our great chairman, the greatest Republican Party Chairman who has ever lived, why hasn’t the 49th ever raised money for to help build up a Republican presence throughout Kings County in ED by ED?
[4]If the 49th were such good Republicans than why hasn’t the 49th raised money for candidates aside from their own if they claim they want to help build up a Republican presence throughout Kings County in ED by ED?
[5]If the 49th were such good Republicans than why haven’t we seen them help other candidates in neighboring districts in prior races?”

First, let me compliment UA on his/her/their use of the contra-factual-conditional subjunctive in the introductory clauses of all five (5) strawmen, unfortunately that’s about where all the good stuff ended.

Strawman [1]: “such good Republicans”…. “want to help everyone” when did I ever say either of those things— I discussed how Eaton’s vendetta was destroying a functioning Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD on the eve of the 2010 elections and that Joe Bova’s Stars and Stripes Club would have a crack at replacing the Republican Election Inspectors in the 49th AD (btw, I’m friendly with Joe too, but I don’t want him to get the Republican Party’s allotment of Election Inspectors in the 49th, like Eaton does). “Ken Rice”— Can you or anyone else be serious about him as a “Real Republican” candidate? He’s got this much credibility >.” and the “<”!) BTW, Rice's petition contained many patently fraudulent signatures, not a good thing for a young attorney, or a young anybody. For the rest of our arguments for not backing Mr. Rice, refer to Republican State Senator Martin Golden, we’ll borrow his arguements, since he clearly didn't back Rice either.

Strawman [2]: This Strawman must be played Ray Bolger (ref.– “WOO”) — he needs a brain. Actually, its UA that needs the brain. Ditto my last as to Strawman [1], except note that Messrs. Golden and Kassar, and the KCRP Executive Members that ran the Catholic Citizens Committee all backed Greenstein, Green Giant, Green-whatever, instead of Lazar. We’ll borrow the same arguments nonetheless. BTW, to my knowledge, Jonathan [Judge] is not from the 49th AD.

Strawman [3]: You’ve got to be kidding! “Homey don’t play dat in duh 49th”. The KCRP
Chairman should use County resources for that instead of for dinners and drinks. It’s the position of the Fiorello LaGuardia Regular Republican Organization that the 49th needs to husband all its resources for races inside the boundaries of the 49th AD; and that continued organizing ED by ED is always appropriate inside the 49th AD, especially after the damage caused inside the 49th AD by Eaton’s conspiracies. Party building throughout the County is the principal job of the County Chairman. How's that been going?

Strawman [4]: Believe it or not, in essence, this is the same argument as [3], but as Coordinator of Inter-District Liaison, there will likely be some support for candidates running with the support of organizations allied with the Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD.

Strawman [5]: Again, very close to [3] & [4] and the answers above; also the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization does not see any mandate, nor any utility whatsoever, by showing the flag outside its legal geographic boundaries. However, if a member of the Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD is running outside the boundaries of the 49th, in a campaign authorized by that organization, then that candidate would get substantial support.

For the record, I am not the spokesperson for the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization, nor do I play one on television.

I don’t know anything about Congressman McMahon’s getting any award from Arnaldo Ferrarro or any club established by Arnaldo. I do know that we have interviewed and will be interviewing candidates who are running for the Republican nomination to run against the incumbent, Congressman Mike McMahon.

Ralph Perfetto was not the campaign manager in my race for Civil Court Judge in 2007. I was very grateful for his support, the support of Kevin Peter Carroll, the support of Joanne Seminara-Lehu, the support of Stephen Harrison and the unofficial support of other Democratic Leaders and Clubs. Although I would have accepted any such endorsement(s), I do not believe that I was formally endorsed by any Democratic Club. My race was run with significant help from the Republican and Conservative County Organizations for whom I was the candidate. Several Republican Clubs were especially outstanding, specifically: the TR Club, the Starace Club, the Seergy Club, and the Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD, the Fiorello LaGuardia Club. As a result, I received an overwhelming vote in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights and a good vote in the 49th AD; one of the highest percentages ever for a Republican candidate in a contested general election in a district that included all those areas.

I don’t recall ever threatening the Republican Party. I don’t recall ever threatening anybody.
The only thing that I recall telling Republicans to do is to get rid of Republican Chairman Eaton and replacing him with Bob Howe (it’s now clear to everybody that following the last County Convention, Eaton's actions demonstrate that he has failed his probation and needs to be removed). All the rest of my earlier posting was pointing out how the Emperor Eaton has no clothes, and how HE is hurting the Republican Party in the 49th AD.

Lastly, let me comment on the “James ‘Pathetic’ McCall” jig that somebody over there at TJIUA loves to do so much. It’s genesis is probably from one of Craig Eaton’s remarks to me following the last County Convention. This followed my plea to the conventioneers that County Committee Members vote to abstain rather than vote for either Arnaldo Ferrarro or Mr. Eaton (to the best of my recollection, what Eaton said was something like “…That was just pathetic…” or maybe “…you were just pathetic…”). As you can imagine, I still haven’t recovered from that, and whenever I see “Pathetic” repeated in TJIUA, it brings it all back to me. It is quite hurtful; and I’m very sensitive, so please stop doing it, because it’s not nice.

BTW— I’d rather be “pathetic” than a pathic-cousin — just ask a shepherd with “McCarrick Syndrome” who lives up on Brokeback Mountain— it’s right next to Liberty Hill.

I say to the fools at The Jig who have so pathetically attempted to insult you, Mr. McCall:

If you prick us do we not bleed?
If you tickle us do we not laugh?
If you poison us do we not die?
And if you wrong us shall we not revenge?

Oh yes, Mr. Gallo, Mr. Eaton, Mr. Golden: we shall REVENGE.

Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
    Or lose our ventures.”

May this revolution lead the tide to wash away the failed leadership of the Kings County Republican Party. Now is the time.

James McCall or Pathetic as he has been called many times, by many people is a useless, worthless, waste of a man – a wanna-be judge who got blown away in that race, a man who has no following, no friends and no supporters, had to join Arnaldo’s club because nobody else wants him.

Just listen to him – he whines and complains – all because he is useless.

Why not get a real job? If you were a good lawyer you would be able to work with a firm instead of living off the government.

And now, he is left to sit alone at night and write on a blog attacking people. That even rises to a greater level a “pathetic-ism”.

How sadddddddddddddd – Jim 4 Judge – a man who will never be a judge and will always want to be………..must be hard working for a judge when that is all you ever wanted to be – and never will get there…….

  19. Craig Eaton “Regime Change” *** What a Concept! permalink
    April 29, 2010 10:06 pm

    To: KCRP Chairman Craig Eaton
Re: “Regime Change” in the 49th AD

Craig, your Goebbels Gang at The Jig is Up Atlas has taken your long stated goal of “Regime Change” for the 49th AD and gone off the reservation. First, they cast the notion of “regime Change” in a very militaristic mold. Maybe you’ve had PTSS Russell Gallo overly long as your point man on this gig. If you’re “On Point” too long, your nerves get shot and you start seeing shadow enemies all around (the poor kid, Peter Cipriano, we hardly had a chance to bash him like a pinata, before Russell G. blew him away) but Russell’s your point guy and that’s your choice, I suppose.

Eaton, you really should think of rebranding this whole “Regime Change” thing. Especially, since your “military guy” has made your “Regime Change” imagery one of Soviet tanks and silhouetted storm troopers with M-60 machine guns at the ready. Is that the image or logo that you want associated with your Kings County Republican Party?

Of course, Mr Eaton, you might be 100% behind the whole Russell Gallo thing. In that case, why don’t you man-up, step out front and “show us what you got”! Abandon any pose at republican virtue [in the classic sense] or “Republican” values [as they are now understood], state that you are a dictatorial brute at heart (in fact many of the older members of the Republican Club in the 49th AD have commented on your rather close resemblance to Benito Mussolini) shave your head and get yourself some flashy military togs, it’ll work. Then you can announce the totalitarian dogma to which you subscribe, be it Fascist, Communist or National Socialist. May I suggest that your religious associations might make “Catholic Phalangist” a more appropriate fit for you, perhaps closer to a Pinochet or Franco, they were more true believers in the Church of Rome, than let’s say Salazar, Battista or Peron, who were merely opportunistic with their church-state alliances. If you have a more Germanic bent, Marty G. knows somebody who can teach you “Deutchland Uber Ales” the way grandpa used to sing it to ykw.

On the more practical side of things, how has that whole “Regime Change” strategy been goin’ for yah? Did you think to talk it over with State Senator Martin Golden? After all, next week he’s coming up to the clubhouse of the Fiorello La Guardia Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD for an interview with a screening committee trying to get that club’s ENDORSEMENT. What’s that all about, if the policy of the Republican County Chairman is “Regime Change” in the 49th AD?

How about your “Regime Change” candidate for the Republican Assembly slot in the 49th; how’s he doing? Didn’t little old Steve Maresca storm out when Peter Cipriano was announced as a candidate for the assembly at the last Executive Board meeting? Maybe it was he that blogged on The Jig is Up Atlas about Cipriano’s radical Islamist buddy, because some of us not supporting Cipriano were hoping to save that hot chestnut until the Cipriano hook was in too deep for you to pull out easily [now I’m just playing with your head, because you can be sure we’re still going to use use it, whether or not Cipriano is your candidate]. Maybe two or more “Regime Change” candidates might work better for you. You’ll get a higher percentage in the primary with two candidates than you will with one.

Forget trying to sell the legend that Arnaldo tried to plant young PC as a mole, brooklynpolitico is obviously on some bad batch of something out of the meth lab.

Anyway, Craig, thanks for the idea “Regime Change” we’ll recycle it for 2011, just as something to simple to remember what we’re all fight about.

  20. Old Doge, Old Sage says It's only Lucretia for the 49th permalink
    May 1, 2010 3:28 pm

The Fiorello LaGuardia Regular Republican Organization has one and only one candidate running for the New State Assembly from the 49th AD, and her name is Lucretia Regina-Potter. Peter Cipriano was out of this club when he decided to run against her. Now, I tink Craig Eaton is very sad about him.

The other blogs that claim knowledge and insight into the Republican Party in Brooklyn need to know this: the Republicans in the 49th AD club are everyone united behind LUCRETIA.
We are sad and angry that Craig Eaton and Antony Testaverde convinced a fine young man, Peter, to be so impetuous and unfaithful to the club that had tried to bring him along slowly and properly, and who encouraged him to finish college then come back home to try his hand in the political world.

Peter Cipriano made bad decisions and we know about them. One of our members found plenty of things to show the young man’s very bad judgment in making his decisions about politics and who he chose to be with as his political alliance.

Eaton select Testaverde and Testaverde select Cipriano ergo Eaton select Cipriano too.
Just like we spit out the old traitor, Steven, we spit out the new one, Peter. One is just as bad as the other in the 49th now.

The Fiorello LaGuardia Regular Republican Organization in the 49th AD had the last Republican Assemblyman in Brooklyn and The Fiorello LaGaurdia Regular Republican Organization can elect its own only candidate to the New York State Assembly, Lucretia Regina-Potter.

My quick Sunday AM review of the other guys’ blogs after my tea and toast shows that all is not happiness in Craig Eaton land.

Arnaldo is portrayed as an evil genius if the Peter Cipriano balloon was his, and Craig Eaton is being ripped by his own troops as a moron if the Peter Cipriano balloon was his.

I don’t know what the Cipriano kid was thinking with his big roll-out with lots of kids at the house, it was one of the worst mistakes for a newbee candidate in a long, long time. That he documented it all in pictures for posterity, well that’s a classic.

Well, the young man (really hardly more than a boy) is, well, YOUNG. He’ll get over this.

Now, kid, go back to school, learn some stuff, do some things and don’t put an Iranian wacko on top of your committee ever again. Especially someone who refers to himself as “American Mohammad” seems to blog more than anybody at Atlas Shrugs…The Jig is Up….and brooklynpolitico…. who at least once said he favors Iran’s nuclear development, has pictures of himself at a dinner with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad , that seems to want to “go[] to a town that’s already burned down [because he’s] so tired of America”. Maybe it’s me, but that doesn’t really work as well as it once did with Republican voters….not since, well… NEVER!

So for those who really want to know who put this kid up to this—-

We in the 49th AD Regular Republican Organization warned everybody at the time Peter Cipriano was brought to Craig Eaton’s office by Anthony Testaverde. We objected to anybody attempting to select a Regular Republican candidate outside the methods outlined in the party rules, and we specifically warned Eaton and Testaverde that they hadn’t properly vetted Peter Cipriano.

Lucretia Regina-Potter is a candidate for the Assembly for the 49th AD in 2010. She will be the Regular Republican Candidate on the Regular Republic petitions in the 49th AD. Any other candidate, if they come forward or in Peter’s case continue to run, will unequivocally be a “Regime Change” INSURGENT.

Nay-sayers can run against LUCRETIA. LUCRETIA will continue to run against Abbate.

Lucretia Regina-Potter will be the Republican nominee against that old broken shoe, union-slave hack, tax everybody in the 49th and give a little back to a favored few, liberal— “Acid , Amnesty, Abortion and Alwon” Democrat Peter Abbate.

It will be quite an ENCOUNTER this fall.

So let’s show Abbate what “ENCOUNTER” really means !!!!

Let’s be fair, Craig Eaton didn’t endorse the “American Mohammad”. The fellow we are talking about is a young man about Cipriano’s age, who is a close associate of the candidate, who held a key position in Cipriano’s PAC, and who has been around with the “Assembly Candidate” to various meetings with Republican leaders, like Eaton and Testaverde and the KCRP Executive Board.

His name is Mohammad Barkeshli, he was born in Ann Arbor Michigan, but was raised in Tehran. It is believed that he is now living in New York. Filings with the NYS Board of Elections list Mr. Barkeshli as the Treasure of a PAC, NEW MAJORITY NY, 40 Bay 17th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11214, which is the same address as Peter Cipriano’s. In addition to his very active blogging history, and his work on the PAC for Cipriano, Mr. Barkeshli brings a dossier of experience to the Cipriano campaign from working with The United Nations Economic and Social Council (NGO Section), UNICEF, and ORAM International (An advocate group for refugees fleeing sexual or gender based violence).

Mr. Barkeshli appears on several blogs, but his personal web page appears to be that of “An American Mohammad”: .

Setting: An idyllic Bay Ridge villa on a hill, just blocks from Shore Road.

Wife: Honey, what are you doing?

Wife: Why? Would you come down to breakfast already?

Wife: I don’t know, honey. You know I don’t want you involved in this party stuff anymore. It’s hard on the family.

Chairman: But what will be my primary source of income if I don’t make political deals? How will our charities stay afloat? DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND???

Wife: Honey, breakfast is getting cold.

Wife: You guys need to just relax… Eggs and Toast are getting cold!

Chairman: ……………. (sounds of keys typing Chairman’s room)

Wife: Are you going to work today?

Wife: ……..But that’s the law office, right?

Wife: Sorry. Maybe I’m just upset your EGGS ARE GETTING COLD.

Chairman: Well, if I don’t help them attack Arnaldo Ferraro, Potter and Judge, I’M DONE FOR! DON’T YOU GET THAT!!!

Wife: Uh, you have you’re own law firm. How are you “done for?”

    Wife: I already did.

Chairman: (Vein popping out of neck) THE THINGS I DO FOR THIS FAMILY!

Wife: Sure….. OK, honey. See you at the Charity Function Tonight. By the way, did you change the addresses of the charity so you’re not running into IRS problems?

Chairman: Yes I did, DAGNY TAGGART!!!

Wife: Well, you don’t need to get snippy.

Chairman: I’ve got to go. The Most AMAZING, WONDERFUL, SPECTACULAR, Greatest, Greatest State Senator MARTY GOLDEN is waiting for me.

Wife: (rolling eyes behind Chairman’s back) OK honey. Bye
