Brooklyn GOP Creates Conflict with 44th City Council Race Forum This Wednesday

February 23, 2010

Well, it appears there will be a debate in the 44th City Council Race after all.

The event will take place Wednesday, February 24, 7 pm, at the Boro Park YMHA at 4910 14th Ave. in Brooklyn.

It is being hosted by The Jewish Press. Here is the announcement we found on their website.

Thanks to one of our commentators for bringing this to our attention.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn GOP has done its “best” to throw a monkey wrench into the race. Rather than come out to support the Republican candidate in the race, they have seen fit to sit on their hands.

Here is the notice:

You’re invited to a FREE Republican Cocktail Party

— Sponsored by —
Brooklyn Republican Party
47th A.D. Republican Club
RoSal’s Italian Restaurant

Bring a friend and join us for some great food and drink.

Senator Marty Golden and other Special Guests will be joining us.

Wednesday, February 24th • 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
RoSal’s Italian Restaurant
248 Avenue X, Brooklyn, NY 11223
(corner of McDonald Avenue & Avenue X)

I guess this means the Republican Party has ceded its authority to Vito Lopez. It seems to me that, by sitting out on the sidelines, it has effectively decided it will be supporting the Democrats in the race over the only viable Republican candidate. Rather than “pound pavement” for a fellow Republican, they have decided to host a cocktail party for themselves.

Figures. How typical…

That’s not surprising given Democrat-in-Spirit Marty Golden has gifted his blessing on one of the Democrats in the race.

So, as is plain to see, the Brooklyn Republican establishment is working its usual machinations again. Whether they think they can hide in the shadows and not be held to account for their actions, they have and will continue to be monitored. Their actions have necessitated that.

Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn will always be watching.

Shameful. While this candidate is fighting hard against the Democrats, these blowhards are going to party hardy. I guess this is why the Republican Party loses in Brooklyn.

Has anyone noticed that the Brooklyn GOP has not one major Jewish member of its leadership? Now, on the day of a debate in a district that has numerous conservative-leaning Jewish voters, the GOP is happy to host a cocktail party and basically say F-U to their potential Jewish constituents.

Like I’ve said before, the Brooklyn GOP leadership is anti-Semitic at worst and unkind to the needs of Jews at best.

    Shame!

It’s a little childish to call the GOP committee anti-Semitic, being that they don’t care about the Jewish community just as much as they don’t care care about the rest of Brooklyn. It’s nothing personal about the Jewish community. About having Jewish members in the party leadership, I believe Stuart Balberg, which is a member of the executive committee and male district leader for the 43rd AD, is an orthodox Jew, though I’m not sure exactly how active he is. He ran against Letitia James for City Council in the 35th district and got about 8% of the vote.

No surprise reading the above article “Brooklyn GOP Creates Conflict with 44th City Council Race Forum This Wednesday”

Ultimately I blame Craig A. Eaton Esq. and Martin J. Golden for this “scheduling conflict.”

Martin Golden is really a Democrat or “the”RINO of the 22nd New York State Senate District.”

Jerry Kassar and the Kings County “Conservative?” Party is an onerous waste of weight or load of useless, worthless mass.

Craig Eaton is a mean, contemptuous, venomous person and an ineffective KCRP Chair.

Apparently one or more of his former law firm clients thinks he’s a shabby, useless attorney too. Not astounded at that either.

They have chutzpah! Eaton and Golden are an embarrassment.

Democratically, at the ballot box, we should retire Mary from the 22nd State Senate seat.

We need to keep opposing Eaton and his ineffective, RINO-esque “leadership/chairmanship.”

“CINO” “conservative in name only” JerryKassar, Craig Eaton and Martin Golden are repugnant RINOs. All 3 idiots are pawns of the Brooklyn Democratic Vito Lopez “politics as usual” machine.

Republican Reformers – listen to me – we, the rank and file, grass roots citizen voters of the GOP persuasion, need to organize better and continue to expose this filth and hypocrisy that is hurting the Brooklyn Republican Party.

    Whistler, B.C.—–

I been pretty caught up with our great ski team, but some other things require my attention. That distraction is what caused me to wipe-out on the giant slalom yesterday— but we’ll be back in the slalom. I’m still “Go” for most medals in Alpine ever by an American.

It looks like State Senator Martin Golden is the big-name draw at a Gallo-Eaton “party”, no doubt “accidently scheduled” at the same time of tonight’s Jewish Press debate in the special election in the 44th Councilmatic District.

The contradictions are piling up on our state senator’s chit and the blame will soon be weighing him down. To those who love our great state senator, maybe the greatest in New York State—ever, State Senator Marty G’s dissembling fractured syntax will explain this one away, but already his smarmy whiskey-tenor spiel is a trifle overplayed.

Right now, State Senator Martin J. Golden is happy being the biggest shrinking thing in the incredible shrinking Republican Party in New York State, in the incredible shrinking Kings County Republican Party, in the incredible shrinking neighborhoods of Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Gravesend and Marine Park, in the incredible shrinking conservative Irish and Italian communities in Brooklyn, in the incredible shrinking Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn. Marty Golden’s dissembling fractured syntax will try to explain that all away, but his smarmy whiskey-tenor spiel might well be overplayed.

Even in Marty Golden’s inner circle there are rumblings, even in the land of deals and fixes, less and less is being dealt-with and nothing is getting quite “fixed”. How many businesses are really in the 5th Avenue BID? Isn’t Golden’s office in the middle of the most decaying part of 5th Avenue? How is this small “flood” of Marty-hacks from Bay Ridge Avenue even a legitimate BID? What about the 86th Street BID? Does omnivorous land-grabbber CENTURY and a bunch of banks and national chains really need a BID? Why isn’t the ice-cream-scooper-in-chief in the 5th Avenue BID? Just another bunch of unanswered questions in Marty-hack-land. Marty Golden’s dissembling fractured syntax might explain that all away, but his smarmy whiskey-tenor spiel is really getting overplayed.

How long before Golden’s friends in the Diocese shut down Our Lady of Angels completely (but then again, maybe Monsignor Maloney of Saint A’s is wrong about that and it’ll be Saint Pats instead) and sell it all off. Marty Golden’s dissembling fractured syntax will explain that all away, but his smarmy whiskey-tenor spiel by then will be overlaid.

Repeat the stanza but substitute “Saint Patrick’s” for “OLA.” The chorus still works— “Marty Golden’s dissembling fractured syntax will explain that all away, but his smarmy whiskey-tenor spiel by then will be overlaid.”

The contradictions keep piling up on our Incredible Shrinking State Senator’s chit. “Marty Golden’s dissembling fractured syntax should explain it all away, but his smarmy whiskey-tenor spiel is just plain overaged.”

Gallo-Eaton-Golden, what a crew! What political masterminds! Even if their convoluted machinations work out, what good have they done for the Incredible Shrinking Brooklyn Republican Party? Why do Jonathan Judge, Arnaldo and Lucretia scare them so much? Just another bunch of unanswered questions in Marty-hack-land. Marty Golden’s dissembling fractured syntax might explain it all away, but his smarmy whiskey-tenor spiel is ……..

From what I understand, the debate has been scheduled for weeks. The party has been aware of it. Their “main man” Marty Golden is attending this event. He’s endorsing Greenpunk. They don’t want Jonathan to win for that reason. I think the circumstances speak for themselves.

Moreover, they could have rescheduled the dinner to support a fellow candidate. I guess they don’t care about their candidates much. No surprise there.

Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.
