    Awesome Atlas!

Urban Elephants justs gets a miniscule number of hits as compared to ASIB.

I hope a Atlas “sister” blog is in the plans – going forward – a similar UE type of site with timely articles, comments and news links. This can broaden the scope of Republican reform in the NYC metopolitan area and challenge the stagnant, static GOP establishment.

Dr. Jay “gives a good cleaning” Golub, Daniel “sell out” Peterson and Robart Hornak can kiss my tuches.

    a shout out to Sexier Republicana… hugs, kisses….. 😉

    Stick to business.

If you and SR can’t control yourselves:
Belt Parkway to Knapp Street, a movie, snack at TGIF, then across Knapp to the motel (is it still the Golden Gate?). If the two of you are really serious, just meet at the motel.

BTW, JimM (he will be blogging under that tag, “all alone by the telphone”)and I will be operating separately from this point forward.
Our last joint effort together is “our” letter of this date to the Bishop of the Brooklyn Diocese concering Father Gelfant (With appropriate mention of Eaton, the flyers and the blogs).

What Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn has established in a mere six months is an indomitable desire to seek out the truth in the mire that is the Brooklyn GOP. Politics is a foggy business, and Atlas has helped clear the mist hanging over the doings of the current establishment.

Exposing these realities is best for the party. It might seem to hurt at first, but nothing will change in politics or improve if we do not first seek to hold our own political party accountable for its actions.

Atlas has done that and has called on us not to be blind followers of Bay Ridge’s Nixonian political machinations. We are all better for it. Thank you.

I knew and worked with Ayn Rand.

She was a philosophic-savant, romantic and revolutionary, and she was absolutely not a traditionalist.

She wouldn’t like most of what passes for contemporary Republicanism. Ron Paul would be closest to her veiws, but she’d think he was kind of squishy for her tastes.

She wouldn’t be supportive of wars or foreign adventures, unless absolutely necessary to protect this land and its liberty.

She’d have wanted a new bigger and better WTC built, but only with private funds, and that it would have been under construction right after the debris was cleared following 9/11.

She’d have gagged that anybody other than absolute “Second Handers” [original working title for what would become THE FOUNTAINHEAD]would support the “Markowitz-Bloomberg-Rattner…Eaton, Golden” Atlantic Avenue & Vanderbilt Yards monstrosity.

However, I do think she’d have liked ASIB.

Shout out to Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn— Congratulations, on six months of really good work. Be assured the best is yet to come.

This is my first individual posting here, but in the last two weeks, I’ve helped some others with their postings. In honor of your first six months, and in the hope of more inthe future, I offer the following:

… – – -… /… – – -… / FLASH…Good morning Mister and Missuz Atlas Shrugging in Brooklyn from Bay Ridge to Elderts Lane and Newtown Creek to Sea Gate, all the ships in the Narrows and Jamaica Bay and Diana Niad if she’s still swimming around Manhattan. Let’s go to press
    … – – -… / … – – -… /… – – -… /… – – -…

Father Michael Louis Gelfant UPDATE /////

The pocket-sized cigar-smoking young man, who goes around parts of Bay Ridge dressed like Bing Crosby in “Going My Way” and “Belles of Saint Trinian’s”///// no that was that Limey Alastair Sim in drag. I guess it should be “Bells of Saint Mary’s”///// Father Gelfant is back like a bad penny— well, really I’m bringing him back for my nickle’s worth. Here’s the story ripped straight from the bloggoshpere.

The pesky parish priest continued posting on his own blog after he was run-off this blog on January 30th. Most of his stuff is the routine Catholic pastoral material, the kind of stuff that “Sexy Republicana” needs to hear before she finds her blogging little fingers righting checks that the rest of her can’t cash, if you follow my drift. Politics and cybersex…Atlas Shrugs in the hotbed hotel…ya gotta love it. Enough, of “SR” and her Res Publica libido///// back to the wunderkind priest, “fragalfant”//// why did Wag-the-Boarder-Patroller-No,-I’m-Spartacus apologize for that? By the way “Mike”, I thought it was hilarious…funniest re-brand since the Jetsons’ dog Astro was renamed “Tralfaz”//// I digress, maybe it was something I ate. Why can’t you find a TAB in this town anymore?

Okay, just the facts/// all the news that fits we print. Some of you might have followed the postings by Father Gelfant, a Roman Catholic priest at St. Anselm’s Parish in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Some of those postings first appeared in “Jig Is Up Atlas” on January 28, 2010, after GOP Kings County Chairman Craig Eaton had been upbraided here in “Atlas Shrugs …Brooklyn” for desecrating St. Anselm’s Church by disingenuously distributing his cynical “Haiti” flyers there for Sunday Mass. That was done by a pair of heroes who think we don’t know who they really are//// pssst, it’s either Wag-the-Boarder Patroller-No, I’m Spartacus , or was it the Lone Ranger and Tonto ( “Why the mask, Keemohsahbbee?” [just sound it out], maybe serious teenager “Mike”will think that’s funny, then again, probably not. Teenagers take themselves so very seriously.) Again, I digress; maybe I can find some Diet Rite or a Cel-Ray to stop this rumbling in my stomach, just a little beps.

Now, thanks to Father Gelfant, it’s fair to say that it was Craig Eaton who passed out his own swag flyers at St. Anselm’s. Don’t believe me, as Warner Wolf would say “Let’s go to the tape.”
Father Gelfant stated on his blog:
“Somehow out of [my] homily, members of [Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn] blog [were] alerted to my comments and used the opportunity to bash a parishioner of St. Anselm’s who I later found out placed the [unauthorized Craig Eaton-Brooklyn GOP//// NOT as Father G describes them “Red Cross”] flyers in the Church.”

The only St. Anselm’s parishioner who was “bashed” (Father’s word not mine) was Craig Eaton; QED: Craig Eaton passed out the flyers at Saint Anselm’s in violation of that church’s policy about such distributions (from Father Gelfant’s earlier blogs).

If you want to verify any or all of this just go back to the Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn’s “The Catheral Club: The Tammany Hall of Bay Ridge?” 2010 January 7 and hit hyperlink next to one of the “frgelfant” (doesn’t that look like “fragalfant” to you?) postings. You’ll also get some good ole time religion while you’re there.

At any rate, Father G had his say and closed his “…Blog Controversy” spiel parenthetically:
“(So after this blog entry and a nice cigar {I know, they are not healthy}, this issue is now closed)”

Well, Father, it doesn’t work that way. As Al Jolson said “Wait a minute, wait a minute…You ain’t heard nothin’ yet.” Or Bachman-Turner’s OD’s take , “…You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. B-B-baby….”

    Remember, Father G:
Nothing recedes like success ; and
I usually get my stuff from somebody who promised somebody else they’d keep it secret.

Check me out at Toots Shor’s, if you’re in the mood for “nuttin’ fancy”. If you don’t like that kinda dive, maybe you’ll come over and stop by table Number 50 in the Cub Room at the Stork; it’s next to J. Edgar Hoover’s and across from Mr. Frank Costello’s, so just watch what you say….

Maybe, I’ll have Brioschi before you get there…

Just as an aside— your picture of ATLAS is not a statue of an Atlas Shrugging. The image is of the monumental Statue of Atlas in Front of 630 Fifth Avenue that is directly across the street from the main door of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral; and ATLAS is clearly not depicted “shrugging”, he is genuflecting in the direction of Saint Patrick’s main altar. Is this a proper image for an Ayn Rand “Atlas”?

    Questions to Walter/Paul/Winchell:
Where you molested as a young boy?
Who really cares about a priest and his opinion about a flyer?
Who really cares what Craig does? He is irrelevant.
Why are you so uncomfortable with a little harmless flirtation?
Do relations between men and women upset you?

Tune in for the answers—same bat time—-same bat place—Sybil man.

But, your comment and the comments of all other children bloggers that Craig is irrelevant, is amusing, since if he was so irrelevant, why do you keep talking about him, even when he refuses to dignify any of your abusive blogs with a response?

    Re Gelfant Update:

No, I wasn’t molested by a priest in my youth; however I know a far vaster network than those who blog here who have been. Their cause and plea for justice has been heard here in Brooklyn and Queens, in Albany and across the nation. Their specific voices will be heard on this blog in good time, because Marty Golden is on the wrong side of this issue ( and so is his toady Craig Eaton, I’m sure; since he is so devoted to Bishop DiMarzio).

The point is that the insurgents who run this blog, or those who use it to post against Eaton’s crowd, are under broad attack, not just ona couple of insider blogs. What they call “push back” means on all fronts. When the other guys “push back” you have to “push back” harder.

BTW when you “with it” ladies are finished with your antler dancing on the internet, you’ll come on up to the Stork. I’ll hook you up with somebody who really can show ya sumptin’//// maybe Gary Cooper or Orson Wells, you know really big men. I’m sure that Sherman B. will let you use the “Loner Room” or the barber shop upstairs, if somebody else isn’y getting a trim first//// if ya follow my drift.
