Brooklyn Young Republicans To Host 13th Congressional Candidate Grimm Wednesday

January 19, 2010

We were notified by a fellow emailer that the Brooklyn Young Republicans will be hosting 13th Congressional District candidate Mike Grimm.

This comes months after Brooklyn GOP Chairman Craig “The Duke of Bay Ridge”Eaton exclaimed: Well, let me tell you, ladies and gentlemen, next year, we’re going to run our own horse in that race… Mike Allegretti….

Now, we here at Atlas doubt the Young Republicans, who are (for some reason that escapes us–although YR President Jonathan Judge’s vote against Eaton last year surely has a lot to do with it) hated by the Brooklyn GOP establishment, are marching lockstep with the party on any issue. It is true that inviting a primary candidate to a meeting is hardly an endorsement.

But with Grimm showing demonstrable growth in his campaign, the question (dare I say “begs”?) is whether the Brooklyn GOP’s man Allegretti still is the county’s man.

Here is a portion of the Brooklyn Young Republicans’ email:

[W]e will kick off our meeting with some of the top issues of the new year, including hearing from Michael Grimmone of the Republican candidates for the 13th Congressional District, and discussing the Special Election in the 44th Council District, in which our own BYRC President Jonathan Judge will be a candidate.  We will also discuss the outcome of the Special Election in Massachusetts to fill the vacancy in the U.S. Senate seat.

He might be their “own horse,” but the monstrosity that is the Brooklyn GOP website still lacks any link on their page to candidate Allegretti.

Is Eaton now getting cold feet? Will he flip-flop in favor of Grimm much like he did Bloomberg?

Who knows?

But with no endorsements having been issued at the recently low-attended Executive Committee meeting of the Brooklyn GOP, one wonders if Mr. Eaton’s proud endorsement of Allegretti will stand the test of time.

So, Chairman Eaton, who’s fooling who?

When we learn more, we’ll let you know.

The special Atlas Task Force has taken to calling themselves Jiggers. Doesn’t surprise me that they chose a name that sounds like a racial epithet. As Dagny pointed out a while ago, under Craig Eaton, the party has atrophied its number of women ad minorities. Both groups are endangered species in the party. Any woman in the party is considered to be a threat to these darling little thugs. Can these failed Capano advisors get any more pathetic? The answer is yes.

Do you have to be named “Mike” to run in this CD? Just kidding…maybe.

Both Grimm and Allegretti seem like good solid candidates…so many Democrat incumbents so few good Republican candidates…why are two of them running against each other? Two good candidates could make a great ticket if they could find a way to run together. If either lives in the Diane Sorvino State Senate district or the Jonelle Heyer-Spencer Assembly district, both Brooklyn-SI cross-over districts, maybe we could have a great “TICKET TO RIDE” [over the bridge]—then maybe we could sing “…BUT SHE’S NOT THERE…”.

Atlas Shrugs has become so powerful and influential that the county has decided to enlist the help of actual “professionals” to provide an “alternative” to Atlas and the KCRP’s blog attacking Atlas. They claim to be an alternative to both blogs, but all I’ve seen so far is bloviating and anti-Atlas rhetoric.

So now, there are two dedicated blogs seeking to destroy Atlas Shrugs. I think that says everything you need to know.

Congrats, Atlas! You’ve made quite a name for yourselves!

And by the way, I hope you guys investigate who’s behind this new blog! LOL

The Whiners-In-Chief, who have adopted a name that rhymes with a racial epithet, have a new complaint. They believe that Atlas should have held the Brooklyn Young Republicans to task for not announcing that Grimm would be at tonight’s meeting.

In other words, they are EQUATING the Brooklyn Young Republicans and the Brooklyn GOP. They believe both organizations are the same. Of course, even if one is more effective than the other, that is simply not the case, based on my understanding.

The Brooklyn Youngsters are a private club, and, as I recall, they announced this January meeting a while ago. The county, on the other hand, kept their meeting secret until the last minute. Then they invited the public the night before and hoped they would have a crowd.

    They didn’t.

They’re the party. The Brooklyn Youngsters are a club.

I think the difference is clear. Maybe to the leadership though it isn’t. LOL

    Hustle–I mean, Russell Gallo.

How much do you want to bet an obsessive, inaccurate “tell-all” will appear on their Hate Blog by tomorrow about the meeting. Then, we’ll all have our confirmation: Gallo is behind The Jig.

What is funny is that you Shruggers refer to any other Blog as “hate” yet, since August, this Blog has been full of hatred, defamatory comments, attacks on the Church and other entities which help those in need, etc etc etc.

Truly the Pot Calling the Kettle Black.

        To: Law and Order 2

“Politics and ‘the Church'”….”Church and State” it’s all a bad mix.

Really “get down on yours knees and begin to pray…[you’d] be safe and warm if [you] were in LA.” Oh, but you’re not, you’re in Brooklyn.

Last night at the YR meeting, Russell Gallo said, “I’m a Russell Gallo Republican (he did give rightful attribution to Scott Brown). Jim McCall said to Russell, “I’m a ‘Cody Jarret’ Republican” (Then Jim had to explain the James Cagney “White Heat” reference— Jim does overdo the movie references, I’m afraid).

Sorry, I was distracted Jim keeps talking while I’m doing this— I wish he’d do this himself.

Church and politics— take Monsignor Harrington— he shut down OLA (Marty Golden’s school) so St Anselms (where Craig Eaton was “president” [of what exactly?]) could stay open— just who gets credit for that? Eaton, Golden, Harrington?

Really “get down on yours knees and begin to pray.”

In closing— I’m not Jim McCall—“I’m Spartacus.”

Hey, those guys who obsess over your blog think that you guys are in league with Judge. They think that you guys got the YR email and no one else did. Well, for the record, I’m a member of the Brooklyn YR’s and I received their email. I also forwarded it to Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, I could not attend the meeting.

Yeah…right. I received the email. Lots of people did. I was told by a friend that the email was not received by everyone because of their email server or whatever. Whatever the deal was, I found out about it and it was on the website. So all of this smoke and mirrors is really just embarassing to Russell Gallo and Gerry O’Brien, who I believe are behind the hate site.

Russell Gallo’s negativity, hostility, anger, and sheer hatred were felt and recognized at the YR meeting by the attendees. The man is clearly unstable and should be encouraged to leave public life and seek counseling. He was drinking profusely, as well. I am very concerned for his well-being.

    Deceptive. Evil. Gallo.

NEWSFLASH: The Atlas Task Force (aka The Men That Jiggle) can barely spell, let alone craft coherent sentences. LOL

Incidentally, I love how obsessed they are with me! They think I’m Jonathan Judge (well, they think EVERYONE is, don’t they?). They’re wrong on that count. They think I’m a Brooklyn YR. They are wrong on that count also.

You see, this is why I don’t use my real name and why none of you should either. Once they find out who you are, they will try to rip you apart.

They are thugs: Jeff Kraus, Russell Gallo, and their overlord Craig Eaton.

If they try to threaten you, don’t be afraid. They’re just little babies: all whine and no teeth.

In the past, they thought they had power. Now, the painful realization of their own stupidity and lack of authority has paralyzed them with utter fear.

    I’m so glad! 😉

    Kiss kiss…
