UPDATE: Brooklyn GOP Fails To File Timely Disclosures Again, Violating Election Laws
Well, I can’t say I didn’t see this coming.
The Brooklyn GOP is required to disclose every January 15th and July 15th their expenses and how much they have received from donations, etc. But, as in years past, the party has once again failed to report to the New York State Board of Elections in a timely manner, highlighting the continued mismangement of the party’s finances and functions.
I won’t go on about the party’s ineptitude. Anyone who has been reading the blog knows that the party, headed by its irrelevant Chairman Craig “The Duke of Bay Ridge” Eaton, has been seriously out of it for some time.
What exactly is causing the delay, we cannot be certain of. Perhaps, as we suspect, the party is not looking forward to having its finances picked at by its critcis.
Oh well. Politicians and political parties must be held to account for their actions (or inactions).
Of course, when those disclosures are released, I will discuss them as part of my series on the Brooklyn GOP financies. Until then, I’m afraid, the party’s spending habits will have to remain a mystery.
But not for long…
