Atlas Readers: Bring Back The Old Brooklyn GOP Website or Make Improvements–NOW

December 6, 2009

Sometimes, CHANGE is a bad thing.

Especially when it’s being brought about by non-reformers.

The new Brooklyn GOP Website has been widely condemned by the readers of Atlas (and not for lack of objectivity, I assure you–it is just that bad).

Not a single person has ranked the new website as being great or without improvement–which is unsurprising, given its dilapidated and embarrassing state.

If Atlas was the impetus for getting this site rebuilt (which, we have heard it was), then allow me to voice the concerns of our Shruggers by saying: if you can’t fix it properly, for the love of all that is good in the world, resurrect the old site!

The most recent tally of the Atlas Poll shows 124 people believe the new website is an abomination and the party was better off with the old site.

Around 70 voters believe it is embarrassing and fundamentally flawed.

Meanwhile, not even 10 voters believe the website is good and needs only some improvement.

***

This should send a strong message to the party leadership and whichever master builder they’ve elected to perform this feat of online plastic surgery: fix this site now!

People are taking notice of this hideous thing they call “BrooklynGOP.com,” and it has to be scaring people.

If our party is to retain any image, please let it be something slightly more dignified. If the people designing the website have hit a snafu, please reach out and ask for help! That monstrosity is hurting our ability as a party to perform outreach. For all the flaws of the old site, at the very least, it was not fundamentally flawed, as this new site is. From its schizophrenic design to its massive, ugly picture of Chairman Craig “The Duke” Eaton, the website is very challenged and needs hours of work to make it look right.

Please get to work!

Craig Eaton is feeling all the pressure. Everything is collapsing.

The walls of Jericho crumble in our own time.

The “heat is on” like the song from
sung by Glenn Frey from the 1984 movie Beverly Hills Cop.

    BROOKLYN GOP POWER RANGERS:

Staring Clorinda Annarummo as Rita Repulsa.

The Brooklyn YRs as the Power Rangers.

    Gery O’Brien as Ivan Ooze.

    Bob Capano as Squatt.

    Russell Gallo as Goldar.

    Georgia K. as Scorpina.

    With Arnaldo Ferraro as Zordon.

And Craig Eaton as Lord Zedd.

Watch as “teenagers with attitude” take on and run circles around the Brooklyn GOP leadership’s crafty creatures and minions!

    Go Go Power Rangers! LOL

Nothing new, nothing getting done…that sounds like business as usual for the Brooklyn GOP actually lol.

Hey, tell Craig to tell Gerry O’Brien or whoever is responsible for that monstrosity of a website they call the Brooklyn GOP website to get to work and fix it.

You think this party is going to make money, get online donations or promote anything if it has a stagnant site?

It won’t, and I don’t need Atlas to tell me when something smells. But I sure do enjoy reading their posts.

Someone has to hold Eaton and Company accountable for their mistakes.

By the way, who in the Brooklyn GOP is pounding pavement in December?

      Hint hint: no one!

The Brooklyn GOP is full of misbehaving children. Sometimes, tough love and the occasional spank in necessary.

Then again, we might be at the point where, as parents, we ought to consider disowning many of these troubled children.

What has anyone here done for the Kings County Republican Party?

Hint: Nothing, but undermine our leaders, if you guys are such a pro-Republican blog, why don’t you guys help raise money for the candidates and the KCRP?

Instead we will see more anti- chair articles, more negative comments about Bob Capano and Russell Gallo, and more armchair quarterbacking from this blog, yet “No Pounding the Pavement”…

I’ve done plenty to help the party in the past. Now, thanks to Atlas and my own sense of self-respect, I’m shrugging. I’m not going to support individuals who continue to hurt our party and decrease our ranks.

Our “leaders” have undermined themselves, worked with thugs, and think that because they have titles they should not be held to account.

The Brooklyn GOP leaders are reaping everything they themselves have sown.

They are the ones who need to start building bridges. Many of us have tried reconciliation, only to our own detriment.

The party is not going to improve until Eaton and his gang recognize their faults, humbly apologize for the failures they have brought about, and fundamentally change the way the party operates and treats its members.

Then, you can come on here and whine why we don’t kiss your asses and tell you we love you so much.

Some of us have spines–and self-respect.

I think, if Chairman Eaton is such a GREAT leader, he should write a letter to all of us disenchanted individuals apologizing for the egregious failures and conduct we have all witnessed. Then, we can all honestly say he gave a crap enough to try and resurrect the party on his own.

His ego forecloses the possibility of such an option, I’m sure.

What Kings County Republican Party in Brooklyn?
The only group that exists at present is the Bay Ridge Republican Party.
Jojo stop pounding. You’re growing hair on your hands.

Those lines do not evince an intent to bring down the Brooklyn GOP.

Rather, they highlight the fact that the party must reach out for help to fix their antediluvian, flawed website. Why would someone seeking to destroy the party advocate for them to improve the website? Isn’t that, on its face, an attempt to help reform the party?

As such, these mediocre attempts to attack Atlas for merely not conforming to the desires of the Brooklyn GOP leadership are without merit.

Enough with the pound pavement crap. When the leadership earns the respect of its ranks, then they’ll go march in the fields. Until then, I’ll be punching keystrokes and supporting the candidates I BELIEVE deserve support, thank you very much.
