Ferraro and LaGuardia Club: After “Catastrophic Election” Duke Must Resign

November 5, 2009

Atlas has received a copy of a press release issued by the  49th Assembly District ‘s Fiorello LaGuardia Club. Apparently, at a special meeting of the Fiorello LaGuardia Republican Organization, former Republican Assemblyman Arnaldo A. Ferraro, who previously ran against current failed Brooklyn GOP Chairman Craig “The Duke of Bay Ridge” Eaton, issued the following statement:

“In view of the catastrophic election results for the Republican candidates in Brooklyn, I am openly and officially calling for the resignation of Mr. Craig Eaton as Chairman of the Kings County Republican Party. This disastrous election of abysmal proportions by far surpasses any previous election for the candidates of our beloved Party in Brooklyn. His voluntary resignation in front of an Ad Hoc convened and constituted convention would indicate Mr. Eaton’s failing approach in handling the affairs of our Party in Brooklyn, and reflects his lack of experience and expertise in political matters. It would also go a long way in restoring the confidence and loyalty of many good Republicans that have distanced themselves from our Party because of its continuous failures and defeats.

Such a convention should be modeled after the one held in 1993 when the court appointed a Pro Tempore Chair to run the proceedings. This convention should be attended by the duly elected members of the Brooklyn County Committee and State Committee Members (District Leaders), and not by those who were appointed after the election to fill vacancies. Furthermore, all those people that hold or have held any kind of employment with the Board of Elections or those who have received or are receiving compensation for services to the County or to our only Republican public official elected in Brooklyn, should either voluntarily disqualify themselves from voting or be prohibited to vote at the convention to avoid any possible conflicts of interest of many aspects and nature.

I also strongly urge all those loyal and dedicated Republicans whose only incentive and participation to such an event is the good of our Party, to join with me in calling for Mr. Eaton’s resignation.”

So far, no word on any press release from the party leadership…

We will continue following and reporting on the results of the election and their impact on the party, so be sure to stick with Atlas!

Wow – if the “Great Arnaldo Ferraro” and his Leaders are so wonderful and so great, what explanation can they give to the fact that in his very own District, the 49th AD, a republican candidate Bob Capano, received no support from the LaGuardia Club and Bob lost in that District – 1925 Republicans votes for Capano and 3157 Democratic votes for Gentile.

I would like to inform our readers that this person claiming to be “John Galt” is not related to this site and is not the John Galt associated with Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn.

And you can see my heart beating,
You can see it through my chest,
        And I’m terrified but I’m not leaving…

        So just pull the trigger.

      Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

Wow, John, sounds like Bob should have actually campaigned in the 49th, AND everywhere else too! He still lost with 40% of the vote, which was LESS than what Pat Russo got either time he ran. It wouldn’t have hurt, too, if he actually had a real message that didn’t sound like the Republican Gentile.

But maybe you’re right about how powerful Arnaldo Ferraro and the 49th just might be! With Bloomberg’s support, Eaton’s support, Golden’s support, Giuliani’s support, and even the great Russell Gallo’s support, CAPANO STILL LOST DESPITE THEIR IMPRESSIVE WINNING POLITICAL MACHINES! (psst…it’s ok to laugh at this point) Guess that makes the 49th a hell of a powerful bunch! The takeaway lesson from that then would be: don’t F!$% with the leadership of the 49th if you can help it, I presume. But alas, Capano’s campaign manager Russell Gallo appears to have been too busy snapping at the 49th and other people on a blog to have figured that crucial fact out.

Anyways, in politics, you win some, you lose some, except for The Duke and his sad, lonely acolytes of the Church of Political Failure, who lose ALL THE TIME! Obviously a key tenet of their belief system is that whenever The Duke loses yet another election or royally screws up, it MUST always be someone else’s fault.

Yet the fish always stinks at the head.

Which reminds me, clock’s ticking to 2010…anyone know if Eaton submitted his letter of resignation yet?

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own…

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
    Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field (No way Craig E.)

For some reason I can’t explain
Once you go there was never
    Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

It continues to be obvious that the “Republican?” “establishment?” here in Brooklyn, led by the beloved Chairman Craig Eaton (in his persona as Ellsworth M. Toohey), has ordered that the wagons to be circled so that its hand-picked marksmen can shoot from the outside- inward at the woman and children huddled inside.

Case in point, Election Day 2009: It was more important that Republican Board of Election marksperson, Diane Rudiano, try to have
the lawfully elected Republican 49th AD Leader, Lucretia Potter (in her role as Dominique Francon), excluded from 49th AD polling places–even under threat of arrest– than have proper election-day supervision over polling places critical to the Republican effort on behalf of Bob Capano’s run for City Council. Ellsworth M. Toohey’s machinations in this affair have been confirmed by the aforementioned victim (Francon not Capano).

Since Mr. Toohey seems to read this blog, or has it read to him, I want him to know that “I [still] have my eye on you.”

Soon, I’ll probably elist my whole media empire on this. But we’ll probably start with The Albany Times Union. So our friends in high places can know what’s going on.

From one Randy person to all others, I remain,
    Gail

    Gene B. lost……. What a shock!

I guess he should have had more support from the party leadership.

Then again, the rumor is Craig didn’t give two _______ about Gene, so there you go.

They all lost, sweetheart. Gene B. was one of the cattle led to slaughter by Eaton and Company. They should have supported their candidates better.

The county NEVER EVER supported any candidates properly.
It was and still is all about one person.
They should get their heads out of their asses in Bay Ridge and do some real work.
The fact is Eaton is inexperienced and inept, as well as ignorant and arrogant. He is propped up by insecure members, who on are on thin ice
        politically.
HEY CRAIG-YOU’RE NOT WORTH THE PROBLEMS YOU CAUSE! RESIGN YOU MORON!

Eaton can’t resign. What would happen to my patronage jobs?
    No No No.
I didnt go out and screw over so many people for nothing!
I am important to the party. Without me they would be nothing.
They NEED ME!! They told me so! (Sobbing Hysterically)
