As Election Approaches, Giuliani Endorses Capano

November 1, 2009

The Capano campaign has sent out the following press release:

Bob Capano (R-I-C), announced that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani has endorsed him for New York City Council in the 43rd District (Brooklyn).

Rudy Giuliani said, “Bob Capano is an experienced leader who has worked with Republicans and Democrats throughout his life to improve the quality of life in Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, and Dyker Heights. Bob Capano will fight to cut taxes and stand up for the middle class at City Hall. I know that Bob Capano will work to continue the progress our city has made in reducing crime and improving education. I strongly urge the residents of the 43rd District to cast their vote for Bob Capano on Tuesday.”

“I am honored and thankful for Rudy’s strong support in this race,” Mr. Capano said. “The residents of my community remember what a difference his outstanding leadership made on a daily basis. We need people in the City Council who understand that we can’t move backwards — we must continue the progress that has been made in our City through the leadership of Rudy Giuliani and Mayor Bloomberg.”

Capano has also been endorsed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and State Senator Marty Golden.

As election day nears, we will have continuing coverage on this race and others! So be sure to stick with Atlas!

My respect of Giuliani went way down after his performance with Bloomberg this year, not to mention how he qualifies his gubernatorial prospects on a Democrat’s whims. I respect what he did in the past, but he has wasted so much political capital.

Now, he endorses Capano. Along with Bloomberg and Eaton. Nothing need more be said.

Bob Capano’s got a snowball’s chance in hell of winning. Divine intervention couldn’t get him over Gentile.

      It’s a fact.

We shall see Tuesday night. If only we had a few more people to help us on the campaign. But I understand- most of you “real” republicans are too busy on here bashing the candidates and party offials.

Mr. Gallo, don’t you have a campaign to help run? This close to the election, is it wise for you to be devoting your time on a blog?

      I think not.

Bob Capano, I hope you know that your manager is on a blog rather than planning for your upcoming two days of final campaigning.

Get to work and get away from Eaton, while you’re at it. He’s a poison pill for our party.

If you worked on any campaigns you would know that activity ends at around 9pm and a check of what the nerds on the blogs are saying is conducted before bed.

See you on the trail tomorrow.

Oh- thats right- no I won’t. You are all talk.

Mr. Gallo, what are your thoughts on the party NOT ENDORSING our GOP BROTHER Alex Zablocki in their email and newspaper ads? I read about that on both Urban Elephants AND Atlas Shrugs.

What was the reason for that?!

Because Bloomberg made his demand to his prostitute The Duke Eaton, my friend. Bloomberg’s hands are behind this.

I think you’re right about that. F&%$ Bloomberg for going against our GOP Candidate Alex!

Hey Mr. Gallo, what’s the reason?

I assume it was an error. The County and its District Leaders have endorsed and supported ALL Republican candidates. Ask Alex himself if that is not true.

A vote for Gentile is a vote AGAINST the party establishment.

    Go Gentile!!!

Teach this MFs a lesson, especially Gallo.

I voted for McCain and Bloomberg.

Gentile is standing away from Bloomberg, which is what I care about. That man betrayed the trust of the voters and the Brooklyn GOP sided with him. Enough said. I’m teaching them a lesson with my vote and I’m voting against Capano, who stood with Bloomberg and was happy to receive his endorsement.

      Makes me sick.

Should Bob have told the mayor “no thanks”. Wake up. If the top of the ticket, a sitting mayor running for reelection, a man running on 2 of the same lines that you are, endorses you- you accept it.

Bob has some disagreements with the mayor on some issues and agrees on other topics. Gentile is just anti-Bloomberg. Which makes more sense?

What issues are those? It seems to me Bob Capano has always said everything with an ear toward Bloomberg? What things do they differ on?

        Maybe I’ll change my vote.
