New Atlas Poll: Your Thoughts on The Duke’s Reelection

October 5, 2009

Atlas now has a new poll up. We want to gauge your thoughts on how Chairman Craig “The Duke of Bay Ridge” Eaton managed to succeed in his bid for another term as Chairman given the failures, improprieties, and poor leadership alleged by so many in our party.

Here are the details.

The question of the poll is this: What was the primary reason for Chairman Craig “The Duke” Eaton’s reelection?

Your answer choices are:

  1. His qualifications and experience.
  2. His record.
  3. Threats, intimidation, and/or corruption
  4. The support of “The Golden Prince” (Sen. Marty Golden).

Please browse Atlas for stories relating to the run-up to the Brooklyn GOP County Committee Convention last week, the convention itself, and afterward.

To ease your search, merely type “The Duke” or “Craig Eaton” into our search bar to find any stories in which you will find him name mentioned.

We look forward to viewing your responses periodically over the course of the next two weeks!

After reading the article today, I’m inclined to say the support of “The Golden Prince.” Wow! 18,000!

It seems that the Eaton chairmanship fiasco, since 2007 to 2009 (especially 2009 to today), that one (1) half (or 50%) of the Eaton & Torrenzano LLP partnership is extremely unhappy with all the negative attention Mr. Eaton has received by being in the limelight and the related highly public Brooklyn GOP infighting. Supposedly this ugly publicity and assorted adverse speculations are hurting the law firm professionally, hindering their staffs’ morale, and the once excellent relationship between the partners has been recently strained and volatile. Mr. Torrenzano is said to be utterly chagrined and dismayed (i.e. “pissed”). The partnership may dissolve in 2010; each to go his separate way professionally. However, it can’t be done soon because both lawyers are actively involved in pending court cases and are in the middle of various personal injury related litigation for the firm’s clients.
