Letter to Chairman Eaton on Revitalizing the Brooklyn GOP Website

September 19, 2009

Thanks to the hundreds of you that read my previous post and came to Atlas yesterday! As always, in the interest of transparency, I thought I’d post the letter I sent to fellow Shrugger Kings County GOP Chairman Craig Eaton (aka The Duke of Bay Ridge) regarding the abysmal failure of a website they have. I encourage you to email to express your thoughts as well. Do not try to email Chairman Eaton at the email address they provide (, because that email address is defunct. What a surprise.

Here  is my letter:

Dear Chairman Eaton,

The Kings County Republican Party website has been inactive for quite some time. We here at Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn believe that the lack of a strong, vibrant website will only hurt the party and strengthen the perception that the GOP is inactive and underfunded in Brooklyn. We ask that you address this matter immediately, as continued inactivity will only weaken the party. It is clear in the 21st century that the failure of a political party to have a properly maintained website is simply unacceptable. As such, we urge immediate action on this issue.

Hello Dagny and other Atlas Shruggers, I have a few thoughts to share.

It is clear Mr. Eaton and his echelon will do NOTHING! ZERO. 0.
Maybe we Brooklyn GOP Reformers can communicate the detailed problems and” rank and file” dissatisfaction with the Brooklyn GOP and Chairman Eaton to the NY State GOP organization (also known as The New York Republican State Committee)?

My suggestion is that be making them aware of what’s going on locally in the Kings County GOP, they may apply pressure to Mr. Eaton “to get with the program” or resign. It’s important that leaders higher up in the Republican Party know about the King County Republican Party’s abysmal, appalling failures and apathy. Tell them everything – soup to nuts!

Another possibility is to ALSO inform the national GOP in Washington D.C. (also known as The Republican National Committee or “RNC”)

I’m sure the state and national GOP will not be pleased about what’s been happening in Brooklyn with our local affiliation of the Party.

My suggestions will not hurt. It can only help. If it doesn’t show positive results soon, it will at least “plant seeds for a harvest later on.”

Craig Eaton is a little Napolean that will soon be exiled to the political never-land called Elba.

He and his henchman, with all the malicious, spiteful and evil intent they spew ,will drown in their own venom.

Eaton has abused his power as Chairman, and one can only hope that the Leaders of the Brooklyn Republican Party step up and finally overthrow this little, angy despot.

The new State Leadership and the RNC will be made fully aware of Eaton’s attempts to undermine the Republican Party in Brooklyn. Eaton needs to step down immediately, and discontinue further embarassment to our great Party. He and his followers are a festering disease that needs to be cut out.

    Good Bye and Good Riddance!!

OMG! The horrendous way he has been managing the KCRP, who in their right mind would want to use him as a lawyer – after knowing all the “junk” and “stuff” regarding his reign at the Kings County Republican Party. Wow!

I wonder if his firm partner is a happy trooper?

Tom, it’s our mess and we have to clean it up. I don’t want the state GOP and defiantly not the national GOP coming to Brooklyn and telling us how we ought to run our local party, and who can and cannot be chairman. What they see another chairman in another county who IS doing a good job but not the type of job the state or national party wants them to be doing, do you want them to have the power to come in and dictate how things should be run?
If we are not happy with the way the Brooklyn GOP is being run, then WE should be the ones responsible to fix it.
