RNC Shares Holiday Wishes With Young Republicans… But What About Brooklyn GOP “Leadership”?

December 24, 2010

This card was apparently sent to the Brooklyn Young Republicans…but did the RNC forget Craig Eaton?

Have a holly, jolly Christmas, Brooklyn Young Republicans!

That, in effect, was what GOP Chairman Michael Steele said to the local GOP power base of youths by sending a personalized card this year.

But oddly enough, the Brooklyn GOP “leadership” neglected to highlight receipt of a similar card, something local GOP Duke Craig Eaton would almost certainly do given his notorious ego. But he did not, which begs the question: did the RNC forget the Bay Ridge Cabal this year?

Has the nationwide party, known to be at odds with State GOP Chairman Ed Cox and perhaps even Mr. Eaton himself (who is closely allied with Mr. Cox), given up on the Bay Ridge GOP?

Granted, I’m probably blowing this out of proportion. But, as we all know, in politics, symbolic gestures mean a lot.

Did the Brooklyn GOP also receive a card? If so, did Chairman Eaton keep it for himself rather than broadcast it to the community of Republicans he represents (supposedly)?

It might be a small sign, but it was noticeable enough that two of my colleagues asked me about it when they heard about the Young Republican Holiday Card.

Chairman Eaton, let us know when you get a chance ;-)

What is wrong with Eaton and the bay ridge and brooklyn GOP is whenever someone with any brains seeks to step up, out of fear and protective ego they attack them as they are doing to Joe Kovac on the other blog. This did not happen in the much more successful GOP days under Bobby DiCarlo and Chris Mega. Reform needs to happen in 2011

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Winter to all ASIB writers and readers!

Thank you, ASIB, for fighting the good fight and for helping shine light on the darkness within our midst!

Better days will come for the Brooklyn GOP!

    Cheers!

It is amazing the extent that Craig Eaton’s extension cord is capable of traveling. To take a genocide and to place images of Judge and Antoun is crossing the line. This post should be taken, copied and distributed to all the entire elected county committee in September.

The real question is how much abuse will Hayon eat before turing on the county GOP

I can’t wait for 2011 when some GOP leaders of the past, who were around when we had some real GOP leadership in dyker heights and bay ridge make a move with some surprising faces in the current GOP

You shall find out- let’s just say people with decades worth of experience in GOP politics who worked with real leaders of years past! And of course the RNC didn’t send eaton a card- they. And many in NYS joke about his ineffectiveness, ego, and poor candidate choices.

Rumor has it Craig was NOT pleased about this piece. I guess the RNC isn’t appreciative of ALL Craig’s AMAZING work (please!)

Eaton should beware of the snakes in his own pit. They’re surrounding him and preparing to squeeze. And given how weak Craig is, I think he’s done for good.

Late last year, and through the early part of 2010, several
commentators here on “Atlas Shrugs in Brooklyn” had asserted rather
forcefully that some of us were erroneously fixated on Republican
Party County Chairman Craig Eaton; and that, in reality, he and his
position were not very important or relevant to the success or
weel-being of the GOP in Brooklyn. As somebody who has gone toe to
toe with the great “I am…” over many things since late 2009, I
think that my own pique at the man might have caused me to inflate
the Eaton persona almost to the level of his own sense of
self-importance. One does live on; and hopefully learns from one’s
mistakes. The fates and the Brooklyn electorate have proven correct
those ASIB critics who had held that the importance of the Brooklyn
GOP Chairman, and particularly this KCRP Chairman, was nugatory.
Right now, Chairman Eaton is little more than a sponsor and one who
enables some truly awful haters, posing as Republican activists, to
do their dirty work in, on and to the Brooklyn GOP. So long as
these blog-snipes pose as Eaton’s sycophants, he will probably
allow them to do their dirty work and have the run of his media
shop – no matter what they do or say. This will result in a further
and greater unwinding of the Kings County Republican Party in
    2011.
